Expands to New Complex
Spring manufacturer Katy Spring & Mfg., Inc. will move from its current headquarters at 27711 Katy Freeway to a state-of-the art complex at the end of the first quarter of 2009. The new location, located five miles northwest at 3535 Schlipf Road in Katy, marks the fourth expansion in 10 years for the spring and wire form manufacturer.-

metals, including compression, torsion, extension and flat springs. It also added a second shift to its
industrial plant and three new hires to keep accounting, customer service, and quality assurance

Katy Spring & Mfg., Inc. is a newly formed
company which specializes in the custom manufacturing of many types of
springs and wire forms including, but not limited to, compression,
extension, and torsion springs.
Katy Spring is located on Highway 90 in Katy,
Texas currently utilizing 1200 sq. ft. of manufacturing space.
Katy Spring manufactures springs out of a
variety of raw spring materials including stainless, music wire, oil
temper, hard drawn, copper alloys, high nickel alloys, and brass.
Founders Scott Pitney and Mark West plan to
expand the company before the end of this year.

Katy Spring, a local manufacturer of custom
springs, wire forms and formed metal components has moved to its new location at Morton Rd. This recent expansion is due in large
partly to the addition of new equipment including automatic coilers and automatic spring grinders to support growth.
Katy Spring ships springs all over the world to many customers in many different markets. President Scott Pitney
says, "If we keep growing at the current rate, we may need a new place before our lease term is complete." The current lease
for Katy Spring expires in 2002.

Mark West has been appointed to Katy Spring as Vice President of the company to oversee Katy Spring's operations and manufacturing. Mr.
West carries an extensive spring manufacturing resume with him to Katy Spring. "I've worked in all aspects of the spring industry
since I was a teenager. I ran coilers worked in estimating, operations, quality assurance, sales, customer service, just about
everywhere."
Katy Spring is a custom manufacturer of compression, extension, torsion, flat, and wire form springs located in Katy, Texas.

Katy Spring moves into its new location on the Katy Freeway.
"We had equipment in storage that we just didn't have room for and
now that it's all under one roof where we can better support the
growth", comments Mark West, Vice President.
"Our manufacturing space is triple in size compared to the old location. It runs much more efficiently," adds Scott Pitney.
Katy Spring, a custom manufacturer of compression, extension, torsion, flat and wire forms has enjoyed steady growth since opening the doors in
the summer of 1999.

of November 27, 2003.
"This is a goal the company achieved ahead of schedule," says CEO James West. Since the beginning, the business has been
managed under an ISO quality system which smoothed the way to receiving our registration. An opportunity to aggressively
pursue our long-term goal to become ISO registered came last summer and by the end of the year came to fruition. I'm proud
of the team for their hard work and effort to achieve this goal".
