In Line Oven for Stress Relieving Carbon, Compression Spring
This is an in-line stress relief oven that is stress relieving or a.k.a, normalizing a compression spring.
Springs come straight off the automatic coiler, into the oven. Larger springs are stress relieved in larger, batch-type ovens.
All carbon and 300 series stainless springs are normalized after winding. The normalizing process allows the spring to maintain its physical dimensions.
Because springs are by definition, a material that has memory and wants to return to its “free†position, normalizing prevents this for occurring.
